Writing Development We believe that some of the most exciting work is created with an awareness of what is relevant for the audience. Playwrights who have worked with us in past years include Ed Harris ("Never, Ever After"); Sibusiso Mamba and Novid Parsi (short plays as part of "LifeRites!"), Helen Kelly ("Spooky Little Girl") and Judy Upton (with three commissions to date). We have also produced a number of new works as a result of new writing development projects. Last year we worked with three Swale Community Groups to develop a script for our 2011 spring tour and next year we plan to devise a new work in collaboration with professional athletes and an award-winning movement director. |
