Writing Development We believe that some of the most exciting work is created with an awareness of what is relevant for the audience, and we have therefore commissioned a number of new works which speak directly to our audiences - be they in schools, in specific community groups, in rural areas of south east England or beyond. Playwrights who have worked with us in past years include Ed Harris (Never, Ever After); Sibusiso Mamba and Novid Parsi (short plays as part of LifeRites!), Helen Kelly (Spooky Little Girl) and Judy Upton (with three commissions to date). We have also produced a number of new works as a result of new writing development projects. We are currently working with three Swale Community Groups to develop a script for our 2011 spring tour |
