Site specific and open air performance

Outdoor theatre draws upon a unique range of skills from actors, directors, designers, stage managers and administrators. It is hard work but the rewards are great, as open air performance has a special magic of its own.

We at Chalkfoot feel privileged to have contributed towards the development of outdoor theatre in the south east. Past successes include the creation of a touring circuit of new outdoor venues for performance. This was achieved by working with our network of village hall promoters.

We have also presented critically-acclaimed, full-scale outdoor Shakespeare performances for the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.
